White Fillings

The cavity can be restored using either silver amalgam  or tooth coloured (white) composites more info.  We can remove silver amalgam fillings and replace them with tooth coloured (white) filling.

Note that not all teeth can be restored using a white filling as an alternative. In some cases a crown (cap) may be a better clinical and aesthetic option. more cosmetic info.

The process is carried out using a special bleaching gel which is put in a specially made plastic tray which is custom moulded to your mouth. Whitening will take on average of 3 to 6 weeks when the tray is worn for a few hours nightly.
